"If you follow my decrees and are careful to obey my commands, I will send you rain in its season, and the ground will yield its crops and the trees their fruit." Leviticus 26:3-4

What comes to mind when you think of the word Increase? One would imagine receiving more in quantity, another will think of a promotion to something greater or growth in an area in one's life that's lacking vitality. Each initial thought is correct... it's all of those things. Increase is something we all strive and work towards. As humans, we measure how successful we are by how well we are able to see increase in our lives over time. Whether it’s in our career, education, family, marriage, ministry or relationships we want to see growth.

By definition, increase is to become or make greater in size, amount, intensity, or degree; It is an instance of growing or making greater. As children of God we are blessed with everything we need, yet there are areas where we have not seen the manifestation of some things in our lives. In other words, we haven't witnessed the "rain" or growth where we believe we need it the most.

Yet, God is willing to bring increase in every area of our lives when we yield to the leading of his Holy Spirit and walk in obedience by faith. Yielding is two-fold. As we yield to God, he in turn will allow the work of our hands to bring forth fruit in our season. As a believer, increase is a sign of obedience and submission to the Lord.

There is a balance that God is cultivating in us. Without obedience and wisdom from the Spirit of God, our stewardship would not be strong enough to handle the increase that God want to pour into our lives. If we are desiring increase then we need to seek those things that will cause us to maintain what we are asking our heavenly Father for.

So, when you pray, remember to balance your request. If you desire God to increase an area in your life, remember to ask for his Spirit of humility and obedience to steward the increase he is willing to bless you with.

"...so that He might sanctify her, having cleansed her by the washing of water with the word, 27 that He might present to Himself the church in all her glory, having no spot or wrinkle or any such thing; but that she would be holy and blameless." Ephesians 5: 26-27

God's word has the power to cleanse and sanctify us. It is the word that prepare and position us for purification. Today's scripture paints a picture of the Church coming into the fullness of her glory and prepared for her glorious King. This is an image we often do not think about. There is a glory that God is waiting to see in the body of Christ were we are standing in unity of his Spirit.

We are all striving to live a life pleasing to God and will bring him true honor. A day is coming that the reflection of Christ will be seen in his people. On that glorious day we will be void of spots and wrinkles and everything that will try to hinder us.

Be encouraged. God is building and preparing you for that day.

"When she heard about Jesus, she came behind Him in the crowd and touched his garment. For she said, 'If only I may touch His clothes, I shall be made well' ". Mark 5:27-28

We can learn a lot from the woman that had an issue of blood. The author did not share the woman's name but her action is what she is remembered for. After suffering for several years with her issue, she made up her mind to seek Jesus. Her issue had been with her for 12 years and no one was able to help her. At this point, her desperation led her to her knees.

She was not too proud to bow herself and position herself to touch Jesus as he was passing by. Her faith in his ability to heal her superseded all of her feelings of shame, unworthiness, doubt and fear. Her persistence and pressing opened the door for her healing.

She didn’t desire to touch his hand, cling to his leg or gaze into his eyes; touching his garment was enough. Why? Because that is what she believed. She had great faith to believe that all she had to do was come into contact. She was right, she gave her testimony and walked away without her issue.

Today, God wants you to be persistent in pushing pass the crowd in your life and come into contact with him. Whatever the crowd represent in your life that is making it difficult to position yourself for a touch. We all have issues that we alone cannot resolve that requires Jesus' intervention. Yet we lose patience and we yield to the things that crowd our live and distance us from our Savior.

I can imagine how weak she must have felt, tired, overlooked, bankrupt, and desperate for a change in her life after 12 years of dealing with a disease that kept her isolated. She took her shot at being free. She understood that her Kairos moment had come. Jesus, out of everyone she encountered was the right person, at the right time, to heal her and set her free from the sickness that had her bound for over a decade.

God wants us to be free from the issues that keeps us bound and seize our Kairos moment. All we have to do is seek him and believe that he can address the things in our life that we can't overcome on our own. The issues of life only get easier when we know we have a God that is willing to help us resolve them.

Take time to Pray this Prayer:

Lord, please help me to press my way through to you regardless of the things that try and crowd my life and compete for my attention. Father give me a fervent spirit that will pursue you with great persistence. Let every issue that is trying to hold me bound be loosed from my life as I reach up in prayer, praise and worship to touch you. Help me to push back and press against every issue that is contending against me. Cause me to know your strength in my time of weakness. Lord, help me to recognize my Kairos moment and seize my opportunity of restoration and wholeness. May I fine relief in your word and cling to your promises regardless of what I face in Jesus name. Amen.
