"Therefore know that the Lord your God, He is God, the faithful God who keeps covenant and mercy to a thousand generations with those who love Him and keep His commandments" Deuteronomy 7:9

What comes to your mind when you think of the word covenant?

If you thought agreement, then you are correct. Our God is a covenant keeping God. The scripture tells us that he will keep his word of agreement and extend his mercy to a thousand generations to those that love him and keep his commandments.

The terms of the agreement is simply, love the Lord your God and keep his commandments by walking in full obedience. Now, this is not easy for the flesh but God desires that we walk in the spirit so we are not ruled by our desires. If we focus on what God desires for us, we will find that walking in obedience is not as difficult when there is no opposition.

The benefit of this agreement is limitless, there is nothing that God will withhold from those who honor and obey him in spirit and in truth. Which is why it is extremely important to protect your covenant with the Lord. When we decide to present ourselves as a living sacrifice unto the Lord as our reasonable service, we are able to submit to his command. We have to pay close attention to the "things" that threatens our covenant relationship with the Lord. Submission to God and his word positions us to gain access and opportunities that are sustainable through him.

The blessing of the Lord will always fall on those who choose to remain in him and refuse the temptation of turning to any other source. As we consider God's faithfulness in our lives, may we look to his proven track record of always showing up on time. No matter the circumstance, God has kept his covenant of being merciful, faithful and loving.

Take a moment and think about how you can honor your covenant with the Lord this week!

"God, make a fresh start in me, shape a Genesis week..." Isaiah 51:10 MSG

We all can benefit from a fresh start. Every day when we rise to a new day God grants us the blessing of starting fresh. Yesterday is gone and today becomes our fresh start and a new beginning. It's so important to command our day as a first fruit unto the Lord. When we dedicate our day to Jesus, we are able to follow his lead and direction. We have to ask God to reset our thoughts and our attitude. If we want to see a different result from our yesterday, we need to be able to be flexible and listen for the voice of God to instruct us.

Starting with a fresh mindset at the beginning of our week is exactly what we need to remain focus on the task and assignment ahead of us. There is so much to be accomplish and we can't afford to shift our mind to distractions and discouraging thoughts. When we ask God to shape our day, we are inviting the Holy Spirit to reveal the course in which we should take. It is up to us to follow and obey.

Think of all the wonderful things we can achieve with the help of the Holy Spirit. Everything that we have set out to do this week can be done. In our time of weakness and vulnerability, God is made strong. He is our strength and the only one we can trust to see us through whatever assignment he has laid before us. We can't afford to waste valuable time worrying about something that God has already dealt with on our behalf. Our focus should remain on the task ahead that we have asked for strength to tackle and complete.

Today, ask God to help you keep a fresh mindset towards your assignment this week, to trust that whatever you are tasked to do, you will accomplish with the help of the Holy Spirit.

“The harvest truly is great, but the laborers are few; therefore pray the Lord of the harvest to send out laborers into His harvest." Luke 10:2

As we look around us we can see that people are ready for a much need change in their lives. They are surrounded by trouble and cares of this world on every side. The days are shorter and the hearts of people are growing dim. With all of this, the enemy is really roaming and seeking whom he may devour, deceive, discourage or distract.

There is a harvest that is desperate for real transformation. They are ready to receive salvation! Did you know that as a believers, we have a unique opportunity to share the gospel in such a pivotal moment in history? Never have this generation or the many before it seen the turmoil that is taking place on a mental, physical and spiritual level. Now more than ever the gospel must be extended beyond our circle and reach out to a people and a nation that is in need of deliverance.

People are hungry and thirsty for the kind of change that will birth true healing and deliverance from the enemy, sin and situation that has kept them bound. Sometimes God will use what the enemy meant for evil and turn it around for our good. Today, we can choose to be a laborer in the kingdom of God. God has equipped us to share his good news.

He is looking to the believer to rise up and take their stand with their fellow laborers. The scripture says that we should pray that God sends out laborers into his harvest but I believe we can take it a step further. Let us pray that God gives us the boldness and courage we need to be an active laborer not just in word but in deed also.

Don't let this harvest pass you by without lending a hand. When God is leading you to share the gospel, do it with joy. There is a blessing in your obedience that far out weights any material gain. A soul will be added to the kingdom and angels rejoice at their salvation. May you have a hunger and a desire to see the kingdom of darkness empty and the Kingdom of God full. Choose to be a laborer and join the few, that one day, the kingdom may have sufficient workers to reap a bountiful harvest.
