" Let us hold fast the confession of our hope without wavering, for he who promised is faithful." Hebrews 10:23

Can you remember watching or playing the game Tug of War? It's a game where the objective is for each team to pull the rope along with the members of the opposing team to their side. The team to do that first wins! It sounds easy but it can be quite difficult. Holding on to a rope and pulling with all of your might to force the opposite team to relent takes determination and an unwavering spirit.

God wants us in the same way to approach our confession of him the same way. He wants us to be resilient and hold on to what we believe. Consider the rope as your confession of hope, faith and confidence, no matter what tries to tug at it, you will not be willing to let it go.

Our opposition comes in many different forms. They come under the guise of discouragement, disappointment, fear and anxiety; their captain is no other than the father of lies. The enemy’s main objective is to launch an attack that will cause us to loosen our grip on our confession of faith. If we loosen our grip, the enemy will try at every turn to cease the moment to pull away our faith and everything we believe.

But thanks be unto God, have an elite team behind us; the power of the Holy Spirit, the Word and our heavenly Father gives us the strength we need to overcome! When you think of the lineup, the war was over long before it ever started! The whole host of hell could be on the other end and it wouldn't be enough to defeat us. Jesus already pulled the rope to the winning side when be conquered death, hell and the grave. He rose with all power and handed it to us.

The word declares “it’s not by might nor by power but by my Spirit” we are overcomers (Zechariah 4:6). How awesome is that?! When we made our confession to leave behind our sinful ways and follow God by faith, we automatically received the strength we need to stand and WIN everyday. It is up to us to hold on tight and refuse to let our hope and faith go in God. Regardless of who or what is on the other side trying to take it away from us, we have to remember that we have the victory in Christ Jesus.

Read: Matthew 16:13-20; Hebrews10:19-25;35-39

"Behold, the Lord's hand is not shortened, That it cannot save; Nor His ear heavy, That it cannot hear." Isaiah 59:1

God is available to all that is willing to seek him. He does not withhold his love, mercy and faithfulness. He loves us beyond our understanding, he extends brand new mercy every day and he remains faithful when we are unfaithful.

There comes a point in time when we have to consider ALL that God has done in our lives. His hand was always extended when we needed it the most and His ear was inclined to our most heartfelt cry. He is never late and always shows up right on time.

God desires you more than anything! He is a God that is near to all that wants to know and experience his great love. He is ready, willing and able to break you free from vicious cycles and demonic strongholds. All you have to do is call on that great name.

When you call on the mighty Name of Jesus with a humble heart, things begin to happen. Your heart becomes repentant and your passion for God is kindled. You will find that when you reach out and touch him in prayer, worship or through the scriptures, he is speaking directly to you, extending his heart, hand and ear.

Don't miss your opportunity to build a beautiful relationship with your heavenly Father. Get to know the one that you aspire to spend eternity with. If you fail to get to know him, your relationship will only be on the surface and your encounters limited.

Eternity is forever, deciding who you want to spend it with is entirely up to you.

"For I am convinced that neither death nor life, neither angels nor demons,[a]neither the present nor the future, nor any powers, neither height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God that is in Christ Jesus our Lord."Romans 8:38-39 NIV

Today's scripture gives us a long list of things that cannot separate us from God's love. However, the real question is.. are we convinced? I realize that we often struggle with believing what seems to be "too good to be true". Why would God make all of this available to me?! He did it because he loves you and you were worth him sending his only begotten Son to calvary.

His love goes beyond our wrongs, mistakes, falls and sins. He sent Jesus into this world to redeem us. It's through the redeeming blood we have access to our heavenly Father and the inheritance we now have through Christ. The only way to tear the veil that separated us from him was to send HIS LOVE to us.

The scripture is a reflection of God's truth to us. If he said it, then he means it and he will perform it in your life. When you have confidence in God's love, you are standing on a guarantee.

Begin to boldly declare this scripture over your life: I am convinced that NOTHING will separate me from the love of God, which is in my Savior, Jesus Christ!
