Psalm 27: 13-14

Waiting is never easy but when we consider who we are waiting on it makes a huge difference. Although we don't see or feel it, there is a blessing in our time of waiting. If we trust God, then we are telling God that whatever he decides to do or however long it takes it's worth it.

Like a dance, you must trust that your partner is leading you into every turn, dip or lift. If you pay too much attention looking at your feet because you want to get the steps right you forfeit listening and trusting the voice of your partner. Surrendering your will to God tests your reliance and ability to follow instructions when you can't find your way or know which way to move.

When we depend on God for our next step we are guaranteed a path to success. Don't create a path that leads to no where. Wait on God, don't step out of turn or on your own. Learn to let God lead...he will never step on your toes.

Mark 6:1-5 1Then He went out from there and came to His own country, and His disciples followed Him. 2 And when the Sabbath had come, He began to teach in the synagogue. And many hearing Him were astonished, saying, “Where did this Man get these things? And what wisdom is this which is given to Him, that such mighty works are performed by His hands! 3 Is this not the carpenter, the Son of Mary, and brother of James, Joses, Judas, and Simon? And are not His sisters here with us?” So they were offended at Him.4 But Jesus said to them, “A prophet is not without honor except in his own country, among his own relatives, and in his own house.” 5 Now He could do no mighty work there, except that He laid His hands on a few sick people and healed them.

People will be offended by your growth. Whether it be in ministry, the marketplace or just in life. However, that should never stop you from being all that God has called you to be. Jesus boldly stated that a “Prophet is not without honor except in his own country, among his own relatives, and in his own house”. Because of the limitations that they placed on him; they were not able to witness the awesome power of God like the neighboring towns.

They were so stuck on seeing him has a Carpenter that they missed seeing him as the Savior. Oddly enough, they were too close to really see Jesus. When people get stuck seeing you just one way, they forfeit the chance of experiencing the blessing you carry. The Bible states that Jesus could do ‘no mighty works’ except lay hands on a few and healed them. Unfortunately, their lack of acceptance resulted in a missed opportunity to witness God’s power among them.

Everyone will not be quick to believe in you or what God is calling you to do. Yet, it doesn’t nullify the fact that you are called. Your support may not come from the people that you expect but, God will always send those to help what he has put in motion. God has placed something inside of you that cannot be denied. To all those that believe, he has given his Holy Spirit to do great things so that HE may get ALL the Glory. Your gifts, talents and passions are to advance God’s agenda. If you stay true to the call, remain humble and let God lead, there is nothing you won’t be able to accomplish with him on your side.
