"Now He who establishes us with you in Christ and has anointed us is God, who also has sealed us and given us the Spirit in our hearts as a guarantee." 2 Corinthians 1:21-22

A seal is used to authenticate a document by leaving an impression. We have seen examples of seals when we needed a document to be notiarized. When a document is notarized, a public officer must attest or certify the writing (such as a deed or will) and signs it to show that it is authentic. Once we receive the seal or stamp of authenticity our document is legally binding. Now imagine God's seal.

Being sealed by God means that he has confirmed, ratified and secured our position in Christ. He is the impression of a seal upon us. His seal authenticates and validates us to be partakers and joint heirs; whatever God has prepared for us will be for us! You are marked and positioned for purpose.

There is only one way to obtain the seal of God. You receive it once you have accepted Christ into your heart. In our acceptance we become established in Christ reaping all of the benefits of a joint heir. Everything that God has prepared for us is made possible through the righteousness of his son. We have entered into a covenant that gives us unprecedented access, power and authority.

With this covenant, we are instantly marked with the seal of God. It separates us as his chosen people but also let's the enemy know that we belong to God. We become a serious threat to the enemy's camp and also a target. However, we are given everything we need to engage and overcome because we are equipped with the Spirit of God which is our guarantee. It is by the Spirit we are able to put on the amor of God that ensures our victory.

God is establishing you because he wants to anoint you and prepare you for the upcoming transition that this New Year will bring. As you crossover, God wants to remind you that you are marked as an overcomer. He has validated your position, ministry and business. His stamp of approval is upon your life to WIN! Don't settle, step out in faith knowing that you are SEALED by GOD!

If you desire to be sealed by God, then take the moment right now to accept Jesus Christ into your heart. Simply pray this prayer:

Dear Lord, Thank you for sending your son to die on the cross for my sin. Please forgive me. I ask that you come into my life. I receive You as my Lord and Savior. Lord, I ask that you help me to live for you all the days of my life. Teach me to walk earnestly after you and desire your word. In the name of Jesus, I pray. Amen.

If you pray that prayer, welcome to the family of God; the great body of Christ. You have made your first step of faith! I encourage you to find a church home that teaches and preaches the word of God.

"But God demonstrates His own love toward us, in that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us." Romans 5:8

Nothing is more important than our walk with God. Our relationship with him should always be the number one priority in our lives. It is something God wanted way before we considered the thought of opening our hearts to him. When Adam and Eve disobeyed God, sin entered the world and separated us from him. However, it would not be forever, God in all of his wisdom already prepared a way for us to be reunited with him through his Son, Jesus. As a believer, we have direct access to the Father because of the act of love on calvary.

When we make our heavenly Father a priority, we show our love, appreciation and reverence. Our ability to go boldly to the throne of grace is a privilege that was once only available to a few. It should never be taken lightly the access we now have through the blood of Jesus. It is up to us to take advantage of building and cultivating our relationship with him. He is the best friend you didn't know you had, a Father that loves you intensely and a personal counselor that guides you in life with precision.

If we submit to his will and take up our cross we are able to experience the life we are meant to have as a believer. It will never be filled with perfect experiences, but, we can rest in knowing that the perfect one reigns and resides in us. As you approach a New Year, remember your relationship with Jesus is something you truly can't live without. Make a conscience choice to build, restore or rekindle your relationship.

2 Timothy 4:2 Amplified

"preach the word [as an official messenger]; be ready when the time is right and even when it is not [keep your sense of urgency, whether the opportunity seems favorable or unfavorable, whether convenient or inconvenient, whether welcome or unwelcome]; correct [those who err in doctrine or behavior], warn [those who sin], exhort and encourage [those who are growing toward spiritual maturity], with inexhaustible patience and [faithful] teaching."

As believers, we are comfortable sharing the gospel when we feel we are ready and equip. Yet, God’s word reminds us that we should be ready to share his message at any time. The Holy Spirit gives us the unction when we accept the opportunity to share the word of God. For some reason, we have come to the conclusion that in order for us to be used by God we must have knowledge of every scripture in the Bible. Yes, God wants us to study the word to gain knowledge, understanding and wisdom. However, he is not asking us to become a scholar or get a degree in theology before sharing his word.

It's not easy to speak up...silence can appear to be a better option. However, when it comes to sharing God's word...we should always be willing and able to do so regardless of the "conditions". The story of the woman at the well reminds us what true evangelism is all about. Her experience with Jesus compelled her to tell a whole village about a man that knew everything about her. She didn’t think about her current living situation or pondered in her heart if they would receive the message of hope from "someone like her". Nothing seemed to matter in that moment. Her desire to give what she received from the Lord was her priority. After opening her heart, she compelled others to consider the invitation as well.

We may feel ill equip to impart God’s word in others because we lack confidence or knowledge. Our apprehensions are resting on our ability to minister the word in our own strength and might. But, when we rely on the Spirit of God, he will lead and guide us as we minister from a place of boldness and confidence. The word of comfort, exhortation, edification and correction (when spoken in love) never gets old. Someone needs a word that will pull them up and out of what they are going through.

Preach the word at all cost even when its uncomfortable. You will be surprise at what he can do with your obedience. As you share God’s message of hope, you are inviting them to experience a love they have never known and a freedom that only God can give.
