Are you Walking?

"For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus unto good works, which God hath before ordained that we should walk in them." Ephesians 2:10

God created us to walk or rather live out the good works that he prepared for us through Christ. What are those good works? Well, it is everything that Christ has placed in your heart to do that bring him glory in service to others. Whatever it is, he created you with everything you need to walk in it successfully. It's the very thing that tugs on your heart or gives you butterflies in your stomach at the mere thought of doing it.

Each of us is uniquely designed to walk in ordained steps even if those steps feel impossible to walk in. Believe it or not, you are equipped to walk in the very thing you are hesitating to do. Unfortunately, many of us don't realize our potential in God. We shrink back and refuse to move forward because fear has gripped our legs and paralyzed our hearts.

But here is the good news! God has already ordained specific steps for your life that will lead you on our path to purpose and success. Steps that are tested, tried and approved through Christ Jesus are exactly the steps we need to walk in. You don't have to create your own path but know that one is already prepared for you. Take courage and walk the path that will lead you on the best journey of your life.

Storage

" Your word I have hidden in my heart, That I might not sin against You." Psalm 119:11

Keep you heart filled with the word of God. When your heart is mediating on the word, you will leave no room for sin. Focus your attention and remain steadfast in the word. It is the illuminating light for your path and the guide for every step that you'll take. Now more than ever we must allow the word to shine brightly in our hearts so that darkness is unable to creep in. God's word never fails and IS able to keep you from falling prey to the enemy and on track to fulfill his will for your life.

We can decide what we store in our hearts. Don't stray away from the truth no matter the temptation, when we do, we open the door for sin and the enemy steps in and begin to reck havoc in our lives. Make up your mind today, that you will store the word of God in your hearts that will keep you from falling into sin.

Be sober in spirit

"Therefore, prepare your minds for action, keep sober in spirit, fix your hope completely on the grace to be brought to you at the revelation of Jesus Christ" 1 Peter 1:13

We were never created to be idle. Each of us is uniquely and fearfully made by God for a purpose. We will never get to our purpose in life if we don't step out in faith. Our faith requires action and we can not be just hearers of the word but it's imperative that we begin to be a doer as well. No matter how daunting or uncomfortable our minds must be made up and ready for action. A ready mind is able to tackle any obstacle and overcome every hurdle. When your mind is made up, there is nothing you can not accomplished with God's help.

Today's scripture also encourages us to "keep sober in spirit. Sober can be defined in this verse as: one being alert, aware and on guard. When a person is sober in spirit they are not being influenced by anything that will impair their faith, hope or love in Christ Jesus. We have to be on the look out for the things that come to distort, distract and detach us from the Truth of God's word. When you are sober you are able to catch those thoughts that come to infiltrate your belief system and plant seeds of doubt.

If our mind is focused on fulfilling God's plan, we become fixed and unshakable regardless of what we will face in the process. When you are able to align your mind with the word of God you will experience a deeper revelation and understanding of God's grace and knowledge of his dear Son.

It's time to take hold of the plan of God for your life and put it into action. Stay alert and remain fixed in the hope of the one who loves you beyond comprehension. As you get a hold of how deep God love goes for you, there will be nothing that can hinder your quest to achieve all that he has sent before you.
