"...so that He might sanctify her, having cleansed her by the washing of water with the word, 27 that He might present to Himself the church in all her glory, having no spot or wrinkle or any such thing; but that she would be holy and blameless." Ephesians 5: 26-27

God's word has the power to cleanse and sanctify us. It is the word that prepare and position us for purification. Today's scripture paints a picture of the Church coming into the fullness of her glory and prepared for her glorious King. This is an image we often do not think about. There is a glory that God is waiting to see in the body of Christ were we are standing in unity of his Spirit.

We are all striving to live a life pleasing to God and will bring him true honor. A day is coming that the reflection of Christ will be seen in his people. On that glorious day we will be void of spots and wrinkles and everything that will try to hinder us.

Be encouraged. God is building and preparing you for that day.

"When she heard about Jesus, she came behind Him in the crowd and touched his garment. For she said, 'If only I may touch His clothes, I shall be made well' ". Mark 5:27-28

We can learn a lot from the woman that had an issue of blood. The author did not share the woman's name but her action is what she is remembered for. After suffering for several years with her issue, she made up her mind to seek Jesus. Her issue had been with her for 12 years and no one was able to help her. At this point, her desperation led her to her knees.

She was not too proud to bow herself and position herself to touch Jesus as he was passing by. Her faith in his ability to heal her superseded all of her feelings of shame, unworthiness, doubt and fear. Her persistence and pressing opened the door for her healing.

She didn’t desire to touch his hand, cling to his leg or gaze into his eyes; touching his garment was enough. Why? Because that is what she believed. She had great faith to believe that all she had to do was come into contact. She was right, she gave her testimony and walked away without her issue.

Today, God wants you to be persistent in pushing pass the crowd in your life and come into contact with him. Whatever the crowd represent in your life that is making it difficult to position yourself for a touch. We all have issues that we alone cannot resolve that requires Jesus' intervention. Yet we lose patience and we yield to the things that crowd our live and distance us from our Savior.

I can imagine how weak she must have felt, tired, overlooked, bankrupt, and desperate for a change in her life after 12 years of dealing with a disease that kept her isolated. She took her shot at being free. She understood that her Kairos moment had come. Jesus, out of everyone she encountered was the right person, at the right time, to heal her and set her free from the sickness that had her bound for over a decade.

God wants us to be free from the issues that keeps us bound and seize our Kairos moment. All we have to do is seek him and believe that he can address the things in our life that we can't overcome on our own. The issues of life only get easier when we know we have a God that is willing to help us resolve them.

Take time to Pray this Prayer:

Lord, please help me to press my way through to you regardless of the things that try and crowd my life and compete for my attention. Father give me a fervent spirit that will pursue you with great persistence. Let every issue that is trying to hold me bound be loosed from my life as I reach up in prayer, praise and worship to touch you. Help me to push back and press against every issue that is contending against me. Cause me to know your strength in my time of weakness. Lord, help me to recognize my Kairos moment and seize my opportunity of restoration and wholeness. May I fine relief in your word and cling to your promises regardless of what I face in Jesus name. Amen.

"Therefore know that the Lord your God, He is God, the faithful God who keeps covenant and mercy to a thousand generations with those who love Him and keep His commandments" Deuteronomy 7:9

What comes to your mind when you think of the word covenant?

If you thought agreement, then you are correct. Our God is a covenant keeping God. The scripture tells us that he will keep his word of agreement and extend his mercy to a thousand generations to those that love him and keep his commandments.

The terms of the agreement is simply, love the Lord your God and keep his commandments by walking in full obedience. Now, this is not easy for the flesh but God desires that we walk in the spirit so we are not ruled by our desires. If we focus on what God desires for us, we will find that walking in obedience is not as difficult when there is no opposition.

The benefit of this agreement is limitless, there is nothing that God will withhold from those who honor and obey him in spirit and in truth. Which is why it is extremely important to protect your covenant with the Lord. When we decide to present ourselves as a living sacrifice unto the Lord as our reasonable service, we are able to submit to his command. We have to pay close attention to the "things" that threatens our covenant relationship with the Lord. Submission to God and his word positions us to gain access and opportunities that are sustainable through him.

The blessing of the Lord will always fall on those who choose to remain in him and refuse the temptation of turning to any other source. As we consider God's faithfulness in our lives, may we look to his proven track record of always showing up on time. No matter the circumstance, God has kept his covenant of being merciful, faithful and loving.

Take a moment and think about how you can honor your covenant with the Lord this week!
